Dealsmower relies on a small number of strictly necessary technologies to operate. Bot-protection and security cookies (set by our infrastructure provider) protect the site from abuse. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), not in a tracking cookie — it is never sent to our servers and simply lets us remember your decision so the banner does not reappear on every page. The legal basis for these is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Analytics 4 uses first-party cookies _ga (to distinguish browsers) and _ga_<container-id> (to maintain session state). We set their lifetime to two years; it renews on subsequent visits while analytics consent remains granted. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). No GA tag loads and no analytics data is sent to Google before consent or when you initially reject analytics. Advertising consent and Google signals stay disabled. Do Not Track also prevents analytics. Use the Cookie preferences button at the bottom left of any page to withdraw consent; future measurement is disabled and accessible first-party GA cookies are removed. Data previously collected by Google is not automatically erased.

When you click an outbound link to a store, you are redirected via one of our affiliate network partners — Pickalink, Shoptastic, or Awin. These partners (and the destination retailer) may set their own cookies on your device to attribute a resulting purchase to our referral, which is how Dealsmower earns a commission. Typical affiliate cookies last 30 to 90 days. We have no access to or control over these third-party cookies; please refer to those partners’ and retailers’ own privacy policies. You can delete them at any time in your browser without affecting Dealsmower.

Dealsmower shows no ads and does not use cookies to profile you, serve personalised promotions, run ad auctions, track you across other websites, or fingerprint your browser. We do not deploy third-party pixels such as the Meta, TikTok, or Pinterest pixels. The site is funded entirely through affiliate commissions.

On your first visit a banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies; your choice is saved and applied on future visits, and you can change it any time via the cookie settings link. All major browsers also let you delete cookies, block third-party cookies, or browse privately. Blocking essential/security technologies may impair site functionality.
